The demands of life, and for some, trauma, short circuit your nervous system causing you to operate in survival mode. This survival mode, known as “fight-or-flight” can cause all sorts of imbalances in the body and mind. Oftentimes mental, emotional and spiritual imbalances can manifest as physical illness when they go untreated for a long time.
But there is hope! Reiki and Meditation can aid you by removing heavy energies caused by stress and/or trauma. This removal cleanses and rebalances your system and allows deep healing to take place. Reiki and Meditation are both relaxation techniques that allow your body to relax in such a way that it heals itself.
Reiki And Meditation As a Reiki Healer
I turned to Reiki and Meditation after an illness led me to rethink my demanding work as a Daycare Operator. I had heard positive things about Reiki, so I tried a few sessions. These sessions changed my life! Reiki showed me that I possessed healing gifts and it took getting unwell to learn the truth about myself. Reiki also showed me the possibilities for healing the body, mind and spirit by tapping into the body’s energy system.
Since childhood, I’ve experienced a lot of heartache and loss. I tried to numb the pain with unhealthy coping strategies. This caused repressed emotions, panic attacks, and eventually, autoimmune diseases. These health challenges created a heaviness that Reiki has helped to clear. What’s more, I owe Reiki deep gratitude for healing parts of me that I thought were forever broken. Reiki and Meditation have and continue to empower me by creating a deep calm and groundedness, a sense of connection, good health and vitality.
Meditation Sessions
Furthermore, regular Meditation practice also taught me that negative thoughts can be damaging to the body, mind and spirit. For example, attitudes and feelings of helplessness and hopelessness can create chronic stress. This undermines the body’s hormonal balance, depletes the brain’s chemicals required for happiness, and damages the immune system.
Meditation also teaches you to let go of your thoughts. After all, a thought is just a thought — it doesn’t define you as a person. Meditation teaches you to reprogram your nervous system so you can respond with courage to life’s challenges. By sitting, and resting your body, mind, and spirit, you learn to slow down your thoughts. We have more than 6,000 thoughts in a day and certainly don’t need to act on them all!
I believe that Reiki found me and has been guiding me all my life. Since I was very young, I remember having an intuitive sense about people and their pain. My guides have taught me how to receive and channel these extrasensory messages for the highest purpose of serving others to heal.
I offer one on one Reiki sessions in a safe space for you to relax, restore, and find answers to long unanswered questions. I also offer Reiki sessions to children and animals.

In addition, I teach all levels of Usui/Holy Fire®️ III Reiki so you can help heal yourself and others. My love of children led me to develop a Reiki Class for children and their caregivers. My gift for connecting with animals also guided me to create an Animal Reiki class.
In addition, I hold Full Moon Meditation Events. Full Moon Meditation encourages you to tap into your power by letting go of negative thoughts and limiting beliefs. This ancient practice, combining Full Moon Energy with the power of Holy Fire® III Reiki, is a highly empowering practice. Full Moon Meditation assists you to let go of what no longer serves you and to embrace your inner light.
I hold profound gratitude for Reiki, and for my teachers and mentors: Reana Selody Joubert, Sabine Olsen, Sandra Dow, Myorei Zeraffa, Sarah Janzen, Angela Prider, and Lydia Rozental. These wise and strong women helped me to see my own light. They also taught me that I am my very own spiritual catalyst and can heal myself.

This was the first time I had ever tried a distance Reiki healing session and I was quite struck by how deeply relaxed I felt both during and after the session. My mind and body settled quickly after a few minutes and at times my awareness went to different parts of my body that Liz mentioned later she had focused on.
